George Buckley is Nomura’s Chief UK and Euro Area Economist. He has twenty years of experience as a market economist having previously worked for Deutsche Bank, London. George holds a PhD (housing market) and MSc from Bristol University, where he also taught macroeconomics and econometrics, and a BA from Bangor University – all in the field of Economics & Finance. George is a published author (What You Need to Know About Economics, Capstone) and is Vice Chair of the Society of Professional Economists.
How has Brexit affected the UK economy since the referendum, and what might be the consequences of various Brexit scenarios looking further ahead? This session will explore the impact on the economy of Brexit in the short- and long-term and how the financial markets are likely to respond.
